- The purpose of this market survey is to identify to the Government potential sources interested in this procurement as either the prime contractor or a subcontractor. The C-E LCMC Software Engineering Center (SEC) is responsible for providing life cy cle software engineering support for Mission Critical Defense Systems (MCDSs). The goals of the SEC are to: 1) establish/maintain Post Deployment Software Support/Post Production Software Support (PDSS/PPSS) for fielded systems, and 2) provide software eng ineering support for systems both deployed and under development. The contractor shall support Switching, Satellite & Management Systems (and associated equipments) through the various phases of the system life cycle. The Switching, Satellite & Management systems are to include, but are not limited to, the current AN/TTC-39 Family of Circuit Switches, the AN/TTC-56 switches, the Joint Network Node Network, and the AN/TYC-24 Tactical Message System. This contract will establish the requirements for a level of effort five year base contract , for the acquisition of systems engineering and software engineering services to support the Battlespace Systems Directorate of the SEC. The MCDS PDSS/PPSS entails a prompt response to identified software incident reports from the Army, Air Force, Marine, and Joint users of Switching, Satellite & Management Systems to fulfill mission objectives. This support will consist primarily of the correction of software defects/deficiencies/errors, Information Assurance Vulnerabili ty Alert (IAVA) updates, and the implementation of software refinements and enhancements to the operational and support software for these systems. Interested sources may be required to interface with General Dynamics C4S in accomplishing PPSS/PDSS of sys tems containing proprietary software.
