- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS / SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation issued as Request for Quotation (RFQ) RFQ-11704-0015-07. A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. FAR clauses and provisions enclosed within this RFQ are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-16 and are available in full text through Internet access at http://www.acquisition.gov/far. The Federal Bureau of Prisons, United States Penitentiary, Lee, Virginia, encourages the participation of small, disadvantaged and women owned business enterprises. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238120 and the small business size standard is $13.0 million. QUOTES ARE DUE for this combined synopsis/solicitation on MAY 15, 2007 at 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time and shall be delivered by the specified time to the United States Penitentiary, Lee, Lee County Industrial Park, Hickory Flats Road, Pennington Gap, VA 24277, ATTN: Contracting Office. Facsimile Quotations are acceptable with all required documentation, no oral quotations will be accepted. Quoters must furnish the company name, DUNS number, TIN Number, address, phone and fax number, email address if available, and official point of contact. All quotes must be manually signed by authorized company official and faxed to 276-546-9181 by due date. Email questions are acceptable to dkeefer@bop.gov. The United States Penitentiary, Lee requires galvanealed steel. No drawing is available. Quoted price should include delivery to the United States Penitentiary, PO Box 900, Jonesville, VA 24263. Delivery desired by JUNE 1, 2007. The following is a description of the requirements for this acquisition: General Description and Specifications for Clin 1) 6 EA of 4'-0" x 8'-0" x 3/16" galvanealed plate steel, Clin 2) 6 EA of 1" x 1" 1/8" x 20'-0" galvanealed angle steel, Clin 3) 130 EA of 2"x2"x11 gauge x 20'-0" galvanealed tube steel, Clin 4) 63 EA of 4'x8'x11 gauge galvanealed sheet steel, Clin 5) 14 EA of 2" 3/16" x 20'-0" galvanealed flatbar, and Clin 6) 65 EA of intercrimp weave 1 1/2" sq opening x .148 diameter wire cloth 4'-0"x8'-0" sheet galvanealed. Offerors/Bidders/Quoters must review and comply with the FAR Provisions or Clauses which apply to this solicitation.
