- The U.S. Department of State, Regional Procurement Support Office and the U.S. Embassy, Bogota are seeking qualified offerors for the construction of a Colombia National Police Station to be located in La Uribe (Meta) Colombia. The station will require approximately 723 square meters of construction. The project site is located in a dangerous zone with difficult access. Construction will include the following buildings: Social zone and lodging building; offices building; detention building; and a shed for housing a generator. The project also entails site preparation and civil works to accommodate site utilities, storm drainage and sewage, and electrical installations. The solicitation is planned for release to qualified offerors on or about May 9, 2007, with award of a contract anticipated in the June to July 2007 time frame. It is anticipated that construction will start as soon as possible after contract award, with a performance period of approximately one hundred twenty calendar days from contract execution to substantial completion. The resulting contract type shall be firm-fixed price, and the estimated value of construction is between U.S. $350,000 and $500,000.
