Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), is seeking a contractor capable of providing training and performance support for the Autodesk Civil 3D software application. The overall goal is to optimize the productivity of the Autodesk Civil 3D product within NRCS. The contractor will assess the agency's overall training and performance support program and design a training plan to include classroom training, webcast, and performance support tool. Requirements are as follows: 1) Classroom Training. The contractor will provide five days (40 hours) of classroom training to NRCS employees. The training will be conducted in NRCS classroom facilities in Fort Worth, TX for a maximum of 12 participants. NRCS will provide the software, equipment and supplies for the training. The contractor will provide the instructor and all training materials. All activities, demonstrations and exercises will be customized for NRCS applications. The contractor will work with NRCS prior to the training to identify the customization needs. The contractor will submit a course outline/agenda and materials to NRCS for approval before the training begins. NRCS will videotape the training sessions to be used in future webcasts or web-based seminars, 2) Web-based Seminar (Webinar)/Virtual Classroom. The contractor will provide an online version of the classroom training (#1 above). The Webinar will be delivered live and will be offered in 1.5 - 2.5 hour sessions, one each day for 20 business days. The contractor will record each session and make it available for playback on the Performance Support Tool (#3 below), 3) Performance Support Tool. The contractor will provide NRCS with a web-based seminar performance support tool that includes the following features: Online lessons and quizzes for Civil 3D Software features, Discussion forums, Searchable database of reference materials Telephone and online support, and Reporting tools to track user activity Links to NRCS materials/resources. The contractor will host the performance support tool and provide access for up to 1,500 NRCS users. Seventy-five users will have full access to the features listed above. The remaining users will have access to all features except the online/telephone support and the reporting tools. NRCS will have sole access to the site and will not share information with other organizations. The contractor will customize the interface to resemble the NRCS Home page. The contractor will provide training to the NRCS administrator for the site. Interested party should submit their capability statement and list of projects and/or contracts where similar products and services have been provided and include the anticipated costs of the products and services. The summary should be no more than 10 pages on standard 8.5x11 inch paper and must not have a font size smaller than 12 pitch. The capability statement will not be returned and will not be accepted after due date. This Sources Sought Notice is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) and is not construed as a commitment by the U. S. Government. Also, the Government will not reimburse for costs incurred under this notice. All responses to this notice should be submitted no later than May 8, 2007. All information submitted will be held in a confidential manner and will only be used for the purpose intended.
