Description
A MARKET SURVEY is being conducted to determine if there are a reasonable number of interested small businesses to set this future project aside for them. If your firm is a certified HUBZONE, 8A, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business and you ar e interested in this project please respond appropriately. The planned project is to construct Phase I of the Visitors Quarters at Homestead Air Reserve Base in Florida. The work includes earthwork, sitework, removal and disposal of an abandoned water li ne, removal and disposal of existing building foundations on site, construction of a three-story CMU building with precast planks, standing seam metal roof, elevator, up to 45 standard rooms, up to 12 business suites, Maids Cart Rooms, Guest Services, fire protection system and equipment design, stormwater bioretention, sidewalks, interior finishes and painting, doors, windows, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical. The acquisition strategy will be competitive and the estimated award date is to be in August of 2007. Contract duration is estimated at 500 days. The estimated cost range is between $5 to $10 Million. All interested certified HUBZONE, 8A, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should respond to this survey by email NLT 9 May 200 7, 5:00 pm, local time. Responses should include: (1) Identification and verification of the companys small business status. (2) The level of performance and payment bonding capacity that the company could attain for the proposed project. (3) Descriptio ns of Experience - provide descriptions of projects that are complete or substantially complete within the last five years which are similar to this project in size, scope, and dollar value. Projects considered similar in scope to this project include t he construction of hotels and dormitories with two or more stories. With each project experience provided, include the date when the project was completed or will be complete, location of the project, contract amount and square footage of the project and the portion and percentage of work that was self performed. (4) A statement of the portion of the work that will be self performed on this project, and how it will be accomplished.
