Description

The U.S. Geological Survey, Virginia Water Science Center located in Richmond, VA intends to award a sole source non-competitive procurement to West End Machine & Welding, Inc. for custom fabrication of gage house parts and accessories as required to install and repair gage house. Items include shelters, mounting brackets, supporting braces, and pipe-mounting brackets. Custom fabrication includes welding equipment to house, deploy, and support various hydrologic and scientific instrumentation to be mounted on Department of Interior field vehicles and boats. Custom fabricated parts and equipment required by various hydrologic investigation projects includes items such as sampling booms, water-quality monitor mounting brackets and accessories. West End is the only known vendor in the Richmond area who provides such custom fabrication. THIS ANOUNCEMENT IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. NO FORMAL RFQ WILL BE AVAILABLE. The anticipated award date is 05/25/2007. The NAICS code is 332999. A determination not to continue with this acquisition based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition. Vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database found on http://ccr.gov. Interested vendors may identify their capability by responding within 30 days after the publication of this announcement to http://ideasec.nbc.gov, PreSol 07ER-NoSolocitation.
