Description
The Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) has a requirement for the procurement of four (4) non-commercial mounts that are required to install Blue Force Tracker (BFT) components to the dashboard and exterior of the Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (MTVR). This requirement is being synopsized as a 100% Small Business set-aside under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 332322 with a size standard of 500 employees. A quantity of 275 is required for each of the four mount assemblies. The mounts shall be fabricated and delivered to integrate the BFT mounting kit to the MTVR. The subject mounting kit will allow the integration of the CF-29 Backpack variant of the BFT into the MTVR, a 7-ton cargo and personnel carrier. The BFT is a satellite based, digital communication system consisting of a CF-29 Toughbook, satellite transceiver (MT-2011), Global Positioning System (GPS) Antenna and a Defense Advanced GPS Receiver (DAGR). The CF-29 Toughbook and DAGR are contained in an integrated backpack and will be mounted inside the cab on the dashboard of the MTVR. The MT-2011 and GPS Antenna will be mounted on the rear exterior of the MTVR cab. The MTVR dashboard will require two separate mounts and a frame for the CF-29 Backpack. Each exterior device, the MT-2011 and the GPS Antenna, will require a mount. The Statement of Work and government drawings will be provided with the solicitation.! A Request for Proposals (RFP) is planned to be released on or about 25 May 2007, with proposals due 30 days thereafter. All terms and conditions will be identified in the solicitation. This solicitation will be available to interested parties though the Navy Electronic Online (NECO) website (http://www.neco.navy.mil) and Federal Business Opportunities (http://www.fbo.gov/). It is the responsibility of interested parties to independently watch the website for updates to any and all documents. Potential offerors are responsible for downloading their copy of the solicitation and amendments, if any. The written solicitation and amendments will not be issued. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in responding to this notice. In order to be eligible for award, interested parties must be registered with the Central Contractor Database (CCR) and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA).
