- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is W912P6-07-Q-0017 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-15. The Government reserves the right to make an award on the initial quote without discussions on this procurement. Award will be made to the responsive and responsible offeror who submits the lowest aggregate price. Offerors must be able to deliver 2,000 tons of stone blocks by marine or land transportation to the delivery point, which will be the LRC (Chicago District) Stone Dock site, unload them, and place the blocks onsite as directed. The LRC Stone Dock is locat ed on the north side of the mouth of the Calumet River, in Chicago, Illinois. By land the dock can be accessed from the gate located at 86th Street and South Green Bay Avenue, in the City of Chicago. There is an optional line item to provide and addition al 1,000 tons of stone. SHOULD THE GOVERNMENT EXERCISE THIS OPTION, IT WILL BE EXERCISED BY A BILATERAL MODIFICATION TO THE CONTRACT. The NAICS code for this requirement is 212312 Crushed and Broken Limestone Mining and Quarrying and this acquisition is OPEN UNRESTRICTED TO BUSINESS SIZE. The Small Business Size Standard is 500 Employees. The provisions at 52.212.1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial applies to this acquisition. Offerors must include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Off eror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items with its offer. The clause 52.212-4, Contract terms and conditions-Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. Additional clauses will be provided upon request of the bid schedule and other associ ated documents.
