- 4,363 tons of 1" base course gravel, Specs based on US Dept of Trans-Fed Hwy Admin-Standard Spec for Const of Roads and Bridges on Fed Hwy Projects-FP-03-703.06 Crushed Aggregate: Furnish hard, durable particles or fragments of crushed stone or gravel conforming to the size and quality requirements for crushed aggregate material normally used locally in the construction and maintenance of highways by Federal and State agencies. Furnish crushed aggregate with a maximum size of 1 inch as determined by AASHTO T 27 and T 11. Furnish crushed aggregate uniformly graded from coarse to fine and free of organic matter, lumps or balls of clay, and other deleterious matter. Provide gradation analysis of proposed material prior to delivery. Delivered and dump spread starting 4.5 miles north of cattle guard on south RT 5 - approx 25 miles northeast of Hot Springs, SD. Measurement will be the number of tons delivered and accepted to the nearest tenth of a ton based on certified weight tickets. Payment will be made at the contract unit price. Note: All quantities are estimates. Actual quantities ordered will depend on individual unit prices and availability of funds. Payment will be made at the contract unit price. Note: All quantities are estimates. Actual quantities ordered will depend on individual unit prices and availability of funds. Work to be completed no later than June 30, 2007. The magnitude of the project is between $100,000 and $250,000.
