- Description This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This Solicitation No. FA8601-07-T-0040 is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-10. This is a Small Business Set-Aside. Non-manufacturing rule does not apply. This requirement is for a TURBO-MOLECULAR PUMP PACKAGE, consisting of the following salient features. SIC Code 3821, NAICS Code 339111, Size Standard 500 Employees Salient features for the Turbo-molecular pump package: ? Turbo-molecular pump with 50 - 80 N2-L pump speed. Capable of ultimate pressure of 5 x 10-10 torr. ? Turbo-molecular controller. ? Roughing/backing pump of dry design (e.g. scroll pump) sufficient to rough from atmospheric pressure to starting pressure of turbo-molecular pump and provide backing for turbo-molecular pump. ? All associated cables and hoses necessary to allow for the turbo-molecular pump to be a minimum of 3 feet from the roughing/backing pump when configured in the experimental setup. ? 4 ?" knife edge copper gasket seal flange (UHV capable) ? Turbo-molecular pump must be capable of being air cooled. ? 110V power requirement for all electrical components of the system is preferred Delivery is to be FOB destination.
