Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation can be download at the following ASFI website https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi. Click on contracting opportunities and search for W9127S07T0076. The Little Rock District, Corps of Engineers is requesting quotes for Hauling of Fill Material to Cow Creek Recreation Area, Table Rock Project Office, Bra nson, Missouri. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 212312 and the size standard is 500 employees. This solicitation is set aside for small business only. Quotations are due on May 17, 2007 by 2:00 PM Central Time. Bids are to be mailed to Little Ro ck District, Corps of Engineers, 700 W. Capitol Ave (Room 7315), Little Rock, Arkansas 72201 or Faxed to 501-324-5196 Attention Juanita Granger. The bid schedule includes Line Item quantities and Option Line Items for additional Quantities. CLIN 0001 Fill Material estimated 2882 Cubic Yards, CLIN 0002 Base Course estimated 119 Cubic Yards, CLIN 0003 Rip Rap estimated 1369 Net Ton, Option CLIN 0004 FILL Material estimated 1441 cubic yards, Option CLIN 0005 Base Course estimated 59 cubic yards, Option CLIN 0 006 Rip Rap estimated 684 cubic yards. The Scope of Work is described as follows: COW CREEK BOAT RAMP This scope of work is for the hauling of fill material to Cow Creek Recreation area for parking near the new launch ramp. 1. All equipment used under this purchase order will have the required safety equipment installed and working properly. 2. All equipment and operations shall comply with OSHA requirements and pertinent provisions of the Safety and Health Requirements Manual, EM 385-1-1, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. 3. The contractor will operate in a safe manner around all workmen and visitors and verbally report all incidents of damage to the Quality Assurance Representative immediately after any occurrence. Contractor is responsible for meeting all State and local laws concerning vehicles, operators, weight limits, licensing etc. 4. The contractor will provide fill material as described below to a site adjacent to a new boat ramp site in Cow Creek. The fill will be deposited only. Corps employees will be responsible for spreading and compacting the fill. All drivers will submit load tickets to a COE representative on site for quantity verification. 5. Fill Material  2882 CY - Fill material shall be one of 2 options. 1. Any material classified by ASTM D 2487 as GW, GP, GM, GC, SW, SP, SM, SC, and CL. 2. Base rock with fines that is 1 to 6 in any dimension. Unsatisfactory materials include but are not limited to expansive soils with plasticity index greater than 15 ( as tested in accordance with ASTM D 4318), man-made fills; trash; refuse; backfills from previous construction; and materials with root and other organic matter or frozen material. 6. Base Course 119CY - Base course material shall conform to the requirements in Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction (2004 Edition), for Type 5 aggregate as described in Section 304 and Section 1007. 7. The contractor shall haul a minimum of 700 yards of fill per day for as many days as necessary to adequately fill the target area. The approximate amount of fill needed is 2882 cu yds. 8. Rip Rap  1369 tons  Rip Rap shall be stone material of highly durable stone. Gypsum, anhydrite, chert, shale, and soft or weathered rock shall not be used. Neither breadth nor thickness of any piece of stone shall be less than 1/3 of its length. Ro cks shall be of angular shape. Stone shall be common rip rap sized but shall be no less than 12 in length and shall not exceed 18. 9. Rip rap shall be delivered at no less than 200 tons per day for as many days as necessary to meet the targeted amount of 1369 tons. All applicable Clauses and Provisions have been incorpora ted into this solicitation. All interested bidders must be CCR registered in accordance with Clause 52.204.7 Central Contract Registration.
