Description

The Forest Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture, intends to award a sole source fixed price purchase order to the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) for a Network License to grant Forest Service employees access to ISO 14001 (EMS protocol) and ISO 19011 (EMS auditing protocol). ANSI is the only known organization in the United States with the right to reproduce, distribute and sell ISO standards, including the right to grant sublicenses. The estimated value of this procurement is $29,000.00 over a one year period. ANSI is a nonprofit organization and efforts to recreate a similar source for this information would result in significant additional costs to the Government that are not expected to be recovered through competition. The Government intends to acquire the licenses using FAR Part 12 and 13. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 1:00 p.m. local time on May 14, 2007.
