Description

Meadowood Waterline Phase 2 - The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, equipment, supplies, and materials to construct and connect a new water line to tap an existing main owned by Fairfax Water (formerly Fairfax County Water Authority, FCWA) and extend and connect it to an existing main to furnish potable water to the Meadowood Special Recreation Management Area. The connection will be made via a reverse wet tap adjacent to Gunston Road, and will require a permit from the Virginia Department of Transportation, which will prescribe traffic maintenance and control requirements for the Contractor. The work is located in Fairfax County, VA. This requirement is open to both large and small businesses under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The estimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. The anticipated period of performance is 60 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Bonds will be required as follows: Bid Guarantee - 20% of the bid price, Payment and Performance bonds - 100% of the contract price. The solicitation will be available by electronic posting only and may be found at www.fedbizopps.gov. Bidders will be required to print the bidding documents for submission of their bids. The solicitation documents will be posted on or about May 25, 2007. Contractors are required to register or update their registration at the Central Contractor Registration website at www.ccr.gov in order to receive a contract award under this solicitation, and register or update their registration at the Online Representation and Certification Application website at http://orca.bpn.gov.
