Description
The Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAVAIR WD), China Lake CA intends to enter into negotiations to award a modification to an existing Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for a period of five years on an other than full and open competition basis to TEAC Aerospace Technologies Inc. The original contract award, contract N68936-07-D-0004, was made on 9 November 2006 in the amount of $1,170,885.00. For the current modification, the government requires updated configuration BDAC cards to support the F/A-18-EA-18G Advanced Weapons lab and the F/A-18 Fleet. These cards are part of the on-board video recording system of the F/A-18 and are used to store configuration files that the recorder uses for set up and system operation. The Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAVAIR WD) requires these BDAC cards to be used to rapidly change configurations of the on-board video recording systems. The older version cards that were originally delivered to support the recorders are obsolete. Updated configuration cards are needed to support expanded testing and to support the F/A-18-EA-18G fleet assets. These additional BDAC cards and embedded software will use the existing data processing and handling infrastructure already in place at China Lake. This software is only available through TEAC Aerospace Technologies, Inc. Monterey Park, CA. The minimum number of BDAC Cards is 130; the maximum is 300. Delivery of this contract line item number (CLIN) will be FOB destination to the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division China Lake, CA 60 days after receipt of order. Any firms believing that they can provide the above listed card, clearly showing their ability to do so without compromising the quality, accuracy, and reliability of the data, while achieving the compatibility issues stated above, may submit a written response to be received at the contracting office no later than 20 May 07. Award will be issued under the authority of the test program for commercial items (FAR 13.5). All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Award of this contract modification is expected to be on or about 25 May 07. All requests must reference Contract Number N68936-07-D-0004. Please submit responses in writing to Gary Trimble by email at gary.trimble@navy.mil or by mail to Commander Code 210000D, NAVAIR WD, 429 E. Bowen Rd Stop 4015, China Lake CA 93555-6108.
