Description
NOTE: ThIS REQUIREMENT WAS PREVIOUSLY POSTED VIA SOLICITATION # 07ERSS0015, PREVIOUS RELEASE DATE 04/28/2007. THE ORIGINAL STATEMENT OF WORK HAS BEEN FULLY MODIFIED. The U.S. Geological Survey, Water Resources Discipline, Upper-Midwest Environmental Science Center(UMESC), LaCrosse, WI, has a construction requirement of labor, materials, and equipment for the removal of two existing carbon adsorption towers, and the installation of two(2) new carbon adsorption towers installed and successfully placed as replacements. Throughout the duration of construction activities, the effluent treatment system must continue to operate in support of ongoing UMESC research activities. Therefore, the removal and successful replacement of the first carbon adsorption tower must be completed and successfully put into operation before the second carbon adsorption tower is taken out of service for replacement. In addition to the replacement of two activated adsorption towers, this project also involves the replacement of two roof hatches, as well as, fabricating support for piping, valves, conduit, etc, to maintain the existing equipment in place without damage during demolition. Once demolition is completed, installation of permanent piping and unistrut supports will be required to support the piping, valves, conduit, etc, in their current location. The estimated magnitude of this requirement is between $100,000.00 and $200,000.00. This is a requirement under the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program; all responsible sources who have a valid DUN and Bradstreet Number may submit a proposal. The anticipated request for proposal (RFP) release date is 06/13/2007 with award expected by 06/20/2007. The NAICS is 238220. The current Request for Proposal No. 07ERSS0022 will be available at the following website: http://ideasec.nbc.gov.
