Description

STATEMENT OF WORK: Contractor shall provide all parts, hardware, tools, equipment, transportation and labor necessary to repair the 25 x 64 cantilever hangar door located at the 185th Air Refueling Wing, Bldg 241, Booth 4, Sioux City, Iowa 51111. Hangar door was manufactured by Continental Steel, and originally installed in the 1950s. Contractor shall perform all repairs necessary to make the hangar door fully operational, including, but not limited to, the following recommended repairs. 1. Replace jamb rollers and pins 2. Replace open/close limit switch 3. Replace drum brake 4. Inspect and lubricate gear reducer 5. Replace lifting cables 6. Replace counter-weight cable 7. Relocate roof idler sheaves 8. Thread X-bracing to meet current ANSI standards 9. Replace weather-stripping as required for proper seal and temperature control 10. Replace 1/4 counterweight cable 11. Install interlock switch at crew door 12. Install visual warning device 13. Install sensing edge on lower edge of door The Government shall provide the following utilities at no cost to the Contractor: Electricity Water The Contractor will be responsible for all other equipment and materials necessary to perform the necessary repairs. Upon completion of repairs, Contractor shall provide the Government with a recommended maintenance schedule for door and components, and a written warranty for work performed. Contractor shall instruct Government personnel on proper operation and routine maintenance of door. WAGE DETERMINATION U.S. Department of Labor General Decision Number: IA070006 05/11/2007 IA6, is hereby incorporated into this solicitation and resulting contract.
