- Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, is soliciting offers for the purchase of the estimated quantities of 55 each Ship Service Diesel Generator Lube Oil and Jacket Water Cooler Assemblies, 5,520,000 Btu/hour. Contract provides for the procurement of f additional cooler assemblies above th current planned number of units required for use on other US Navy ships, as needed, over a five year contract period.Testing requirements are included in the package as well as the need for Technical Manuals and Provisioning Data to be procoured with an initial 5 unit order. The combined SSDG lube oil and jacket water cooler assembly is required to be a plate type heat exchanger design. The cooler assembly is sized to support a single Fairbanks Morse OP type ships service diesel engine installted aboard a US Naval Ship with a design heat load or 5,520,000 Btu/hr.
