Description
The proposed requirement is for a long term contract with a one year base period and four one year option periods to support a Navy requirement for Composite Repair Kits. The Naval Inventory Control Point-Philadelphia is seeking sources to procure, assemble, package, handle, store, transport, and manage all nine (9) Advanced Composite Repair Materials (ACRM) used on the F/A-18 Aircraft. The NSN?s for the nine (9) items, which are required to be procured from approved sources, are as follows: 1RM-8030-01-314-7855, 1RM-8030-01-314-7857, 1RM-4920-01-326-7014, 1RM-4920-01-454-0740, 1RM-4920-01-458-7248, 1RM-4920-01-459-5729, 1RM-4920-01-460-7497, 1RM-4920-01-460-7499, and 1RM-4920-01-500-4186. The Contractor will be responsible for procuring all nine (9) different repair kits, which are shelf-life critical items that require zero degree storage and ship them to the end-user as required. The Contractor is also required to dispose of hazardous materials that reach shelf -life expiration. The time required for approval of a new source is normally such that an award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. This brochure identifies technical data required to be submitted based on your company?s experience in production of the same or similar item, or if this is an item you have never made. This brochure can be obtained by calling NAVICP-P at (215) 697-4243. If your request for source approval is currently being evaluated at NAVICP-P, submit with your offer a copy of the cover letter which forwarded your request for source approval. Offers received which fail to provide all data required by the Source Approval Brochure will not be considered for award under this solicitation. Please note, if evaluation of source appr oval requirements preclude the ability to obtain subject items in time to meet government requirements, award of the subject requirement may continue based on Fleet support needs.
