Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This annoucement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number, Q7350070003, is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The National Park Service intends to award a firm fixed price contract, as a result of this combined synopsis/solicitation, to the offeror providing the best value to the Government. Item Description: 2 each-Industrial Fish Grinders, Specifications for Fish Cleaning Grinder Pump as follows: In-line Channel, Flow Rate GPM (m 3/h): 800 (182), Pressure Drop PSI (bars): 1.60 (0.11), 5 HP Electric Motor, Grinder size must be 8" to match existing table and plumbing. Materials of Construction: Cutters and Spacers: 4130 heat treated alloy steel, surface ground for uniformity and through-hardened to a minimum 45-50 Rockwell "C", Shafts: 4140 heat treated hexagonal steel, End Housings and Covers: Cast from ASTM A536 Ductile Iron, Seal Faces: Tungsten Carbide/Tungsten Carbide, Side Rails: Cast from ASTM A536 Ductile Iron, Elastromers: Buna N. To ensure that sufficient information is available, the vendor shall furnish, as part of their quote, a technical description of the items being offered in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance with requirements in the solicitation. This shall include all descriptive material neccessary for the contracting activity to determine whether the product meets the salient characteristics of this requirement. Descriptive literature shall consists of illustrations, drawings, or clear references. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be the most advantageous to the Government, warranty, price and other factors considered. This is a Commercial Item Acquisition, FAR Part 12 applies. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are in effect through Federal Acquisitions Circular 2005-17. The NAICS is 339920, the size standard is 500 employees and is set aside for small business. Instructions to Offerors- Commercial 52.212-1, applies to this acquisition. 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items applies, while price may be significant factor in the evaluation of offerors, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, warranty and other factors described in the solicitation. 52.212-3 Offeror Representation and Certifications-Commerical Items, 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, and 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions required implementing statutes or executive orders commercial items all apply to this solicitation. Evaluation factors for award: Award of contact will be evaluated on price related and warranty factors.
