Description

THIS IS AN INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE ANNOUNCEMENT PURSUANT TO FAR 6.302-1. THIS CONSTITUTES THE ONLY WRITTEN NOTICE, NO OTHER NOTICE OR SOLICITATION SHALL BE ISSUED AS A RESULT OF THIS NOTICE. The NAICS Code for this acquisition is 541990 All Other Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services, with a Size Standard of $6.5 M. The U.S Census Bureau has a follow-on requirement for access, to data sets from two surveys: the Survey of Health Aging, and Retirement in Europe (SHARE) and the Survey of Global Aging (SAGE). These surveys are conducted and maintained by the World Health Organization through a restricted use website. This requirement is sponsored by the U.S National Institute on Aging (NIA) through a reimbursable agreement with the U.S Census Bureau. The period of performance shall be one year from the date of award plus three option periods. The government anticipates awarding a fixed price contract using Part 15 Negotiated Competitive Procurement procedures. THE GOVERNMENT KNOWS OF ONLY ONE SOURCE: WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION (WHO), 20 AVENUE APPIA, GENEVA, SWITZERLAND 1207 Interested parties may submit information in accordance with this announcement, which will be considered, within 15 days of the posting of this announcement. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that the action may be competed. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
