- Description
- The Air Force Medical Service Commodity Council (AFMSCC) is seeking sources to perform centralized end user customer support to military medical treatment facilities at geographically-disperse CONUS/OCONUS Air Force Bases (AFBs). The service is known as Global Helpdesk. The work is to provide tier 0/1 helpdesk services. Background: Currently, medical treatment facilities (MTF) offer tier 0/1 helpdesk operations in disparate ways throughout the Air Force Medical Service (AFMS) using contractors, Government Service civilians, active duty military, or a combination of all of the above. The mission of the AFMSCC is to determine the best acquisition strategies that save money, reduce overhead costs and standardize service for all MTFs. The acquisition strategy is yet to be determined but includes the type of contract instruments, small business strategy, use of the Air Force NETCENTS contract and other considerations. The Air Force is very early in the development of this acquisition strategy and seeks large and small business sources as part of market research to ascertain the interest, capability, and capacity that industry can offer for anticipated helpdesk services. Capacity includes worldwide, 24/7 helpdesk support for a large number of users. Capability includes strategies to provide services across disparate DoD facilities while managing DoD security requirements in addition to servicing both desktop (office), clinical and various DoD applications. In addition, we are seeking comments on our NAICS code selection. What the AFMSCC needs: If your business is interested in providing input to this acquisition program, please respond to the attached questionnaire and provide the name, phone number, and email address of a company representative we may contact for additional information. Notice: The AFMSCC may have non-Government employees (i.e., contractor employees) assisting with our market research. These non Government employees, who have all signed non disclosure agreements, will have access to industry responses. If you are a small business, please identify your firm as such, together with any subcategory that applies (e.g., small disadvantaged business, 8a, HUB Zone small business, or service-disabled veteran-owned small business). Emailed responses are preferred but paper submittals are acceptable. Send responses to the following POC within 10 business days of the date of this notice. Points of Contact: Major Kevin Smith, Program Manager, Air Force Medical Service Commodity Council, AF/SGRM, 2776 C Street, Area B, Bldg 6, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH 45433-7401, (937) 255-0438, FAX (937) 656-7520; or Clarinda Smith, AF/SGRM, 2776 C Street, Area B, Bldg 6, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH 45433-7401 (937) 904-5040
