- Description
- The Government intends to award, on a sole source basis, a contract for the delivery of six Special Weapons Observation Remote Reconnaissance Direct-Action Systems (SWORDS) Talon robot systems including support with the option of acquiring additional spare parts for the systems from Foster-Miller, Inc. under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(A) and (B). The contractor will be required to configure the robots with a mounting system for integrating the M249 and the M240. Delivery is NLT 60 days after receipt of award. This is a synopsis for commercial supplies, prepared in accordance with FAR 12.6 and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-21 and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Responses must contain sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability to fulfill the requirement. The following FAR clauses apply: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors, Commercial Items; 52.212-2, Evaluation of Commercial Items; 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items; 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items; 52.225-13, Restrictions on Certain Foreign Purchases; and 52.232-33, Payments by Electric Funds Transfer. All clauses are available at http://farsite.hill.af.mil. Offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) to be eligible for award. See numbered notes 25. ARDEC Clause 68 will apply. Responses are due by 1600, May 3, 2007. Proposals may be e-mailed to Carmen Lindstrom at carmen.lindstrom1@us.army.mil . The Government reserves the right not to utilize any of the potential proposals as cited in 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). All questions or correspondence must be by e-mail.
