Description

Request for Proposal Number W31P4Q-07-R-0171 proposes to acquire, via full and open competition, a rocket assisted take-off (RATO) system for the MQM-107 target that meets the requirement of the performance specification. The RATO system will augmen t the take-off thrust of the MQM-107 target; rapidly accelerating the MQM-107 off the ground launcher to flying speed. After launch, the rocket motor shall automatically separate from the MQM-107 target. The effort required shall be specified in a Statem ent of Work and its attachments, and shall include first article, test and delivery of 300 units. It is anticipated that an existing off-the-shelf RATO solution can be used to meet the requirements of the performance specification. The Government neither desires nor plans to fund a new design/development effort. The solicitation will be available electronically on or about 25 June 2007 by accessing https://wwwproc.redstone.army.mil/acquisition/ or FedBizOpps. The anticipated award date is within the Sep tember 2007 timeframe. Release of or participation in the solicitation will be restricted or limited to US owned companies, US citizens, and cleared foreign owned companies that have an approved Special Security Agreement (SSA). A firm-fixed-price type c ontract is anticipated. All responsible sources may submit written proposals which shall be considered by this agency.
