- This requirement is being issued as a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items in accordance with FAR 12.6. Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Keyport is contemplating award of a sole source purchase order to Evans Capacitor, 72 Boyd Ave, East Providence, RI 02914. The solicitation is for 60 THQ3 series Tantalum case Hybrid Capacitors. Delivery is due by 15 August 2007. The closing date of the solicitation will be 15 June 2007 at 2:00 PM. This solicitation is 100% set aside for small business concerns. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 334414 with a size standard of 500 employees. The RFQ is posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link www.neco.navy.mil. Offerors wishing to submit an offer are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website and to frequently monitor the site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to grdinapm@kpt.nuwc.navy.mil will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. After downloading the solicitation, firms interested in submitting quotes must: (1) complete the pricing, (2) complete all representations and certifications found in the solicitation (3) and ensure current registration in the DoD Central Contractor Registration database (http://www.ccr.gov/). No bidders list will be maintained by this office. Failure to respond to the electronically posted RFQ and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render your offer nonresponsive and result in rejection of the same. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by 2:00 p.m. on 15 June 2007 will be considered by the government. A determination by t he Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon respons es to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
