Description
The Sacramento District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has an upcoming project for the repair and mitigation planting of 6 critical levee erosion sites along the Lower Sacramento River and Steamboat Slough. Work consists of but is not limited to : The placing of soil filled quarry stone by waterborne barge on the upper slopes of several erosion sites along both banks of the Sacramento River and the Right Bank of Steamboat Slough (NOTE: ALL EROSION SITE WORK PERFORMANCE WILL HAVE TO BE PERFORMED F ROM THE WATER-SIDE OF THE LEVEE); in-stream wood; fascines; erosion control seeding; and the removal and replanting of elderberry shrubs. Option Items include the installation of plantings, plugs, beaver fencing, cages, pole cuttings, irrigation and plant maintenance. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. The NAICS Code for this project is 237900, with a Small Business Administration Size Standard of $31,000,000.00. This announcement serves only as market survey/sources sought in order to determine the interest and availability of small business concerns. PROPOSALS ARE NOT BEING REQUESTED AT THIS TIME. Responses are being sought from qualified 8(a), HUBZone and Service Disabled Veteran Owned small business concerns possessing the technical expertise and bonding capability to execute the work requirements. Interested contractors must submit the following: (1) Proof of available bonding capacity in the amount of at least $12,000,000.00. Documentation must be in the form of a statement from the Contractors bonding company; (2) Verifiable evidence of experience in performing repairs and mitigation work on levees; and (3) How you will manage work in accordance with FAR 52.219-14(b)(3), Limitation on Sub -Contracting: General Construction. The concern will perform at least 20 percent of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials.
