Description

This is a Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract for the purchase of a Rapid Deployment Kit Gamma-System under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) to RAE Systems, Inc. A justification of using other than full and open competition - simplified acquisition has been prepared. RAE is the manufacturer of the Rapid Deployment Kit Gamma-System Package and the only know source of the kit and associated peripheral equipment. The products are considered commercial items in accordance with FAR Part 2 and are to be purchased utilizing simplified acquisition procedures in FAR Subpart 13.1. The above named vendor is believed to be the only source of the Rapid Deployment Kit Gamma-System Package. This notice of intent is NOT a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for competitive quotes. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to provide the required products in writing, by mail, fax, or e-mail to Ms. Deborah Foster no later than 3:00 PM, EST, Thursday, 6/28/2007.
