Description

This synopsis was posted to FedBizOpps on June 15, 2007 on the Blue Mountain Area, Malheur Contracting Office. Construct two roadside interpretive viewpoints including realignment of 1000 feet of Forest Service Road 7300. Road construction includes excavation, hot mix asphalt paving and striping, and interpretive area construction includes planting berms, boulder retaining walls, site signs, stone masonry interpretive sign base with concrete cores, log posts, and rails, benches, and picnic tables. The two roadside sites are located on Forest Service Road 7300. Baker Valley Overlook is 15 miles from Exit 285 (North Powder) off I-84 onto the Anthony Lakes Hwy 73. The Ah Hee Diggings site is located 2 miles north of the city of Granite, Oregon. The estimated start work date is July 1, 2008. The estimated price range is between $250,000 and $500,000. The solicitation will be posted to FedBizzOpps on July 2, 2007 (to both the Malheur and the Wallowa-Whitman Contracting Office Addresses) and offers are due July 27, 2007.
