- Work consists of, but is not limited to the following: The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, supervision, equipment, and perform all operations necessary to accomplish all work in accordance with the specifications and drawings, specified herein, or as needed to repair the HVAC, building 90618. The work shall include, but is not limited to removal of suspended acoustical ceiling tile and grid from various areas of the facility; harvest acoustical ceiling tile from some areas and install in other areas; provide and install new acoustical tile and grid in some areas; remove the existing DX HVAC systems; remove the existing heating hot water system; install 3 new air handling units; install portions of new ductwork; install new Variable Air Volume (VAV) boxes; install new Direct Digital Control (DDC) system; install new air cooled chiller and hot water chiller; install new hot water and chilled H2O piping; perform test and balance on new system; remove existing transformer; install new larger transformer; modify electrical systems to accommodate the mechanical system upgrades. The work shall be fully complete in accordance with the contract documents. A site visit will be scheduled approximately 15 days from the solicitation issue date. This is an unrestricted special straddle bid acquisition. Funds are not presently available for this project. No award will be made under the solicitation until funds are available. If funds are not received by 30 Sep 07, this project will be cancelled. Estimated magnitude for this project is between $250,000 and $500,000.
