Small Business Set-Aside: Total Small Business
Description: Note 1. This acquisition is being solicited as 100% Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS Code 485410 with a size standard of $6,500,000.00. The Contractor shall safely transport approximately 2,200 students and other authorized individuals to and fro m their designated schools and return them to their designated boarding points or other designated point as needed in accordance with schedule or any revisions as determined by the Superintendent or COR. The said students shall be transported in school bus es meeting all specifications and standards as required by North Carolina State laws, Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, Federal regulations, pertinent DoD and installation regulations.The contractor shall provide all personnel, supervision, vehicles, material, and fuel necessary to perform the requirements of this PWS. An estimated forty 65-70 passenger buses and estimated twenty-six 10-16 passenger buses are required. The contractor shall provide: Scheduled Services. Student transportation service to and from their designated schools and assigned bus stops before school and delivery home after school. Scheduled service includes commuting and after school activity buses.Special Needs. Transportation of physically or mentally disabled students and o ther authorized individuals to and from their designated schools, and between schools and alternate educational sites for classes. Unscheduled Services. Transport of students and other authorized individuals to and from their designated schools, between s chools and off-school sites for authorized school activities during the school year. Service requirements shall include field trips, special activities, and sports events.
