Description

General: The National Park Service is issuing a solicitation for offers from construction firms having the capability to perform the work described below. This solication will be issued electronically (paper copies of the solicitation will not be made available) on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with the National Park Service are requested to register at the National Business Center. Solicitation documents wiill be available in Microsoft Word, HTML and Adobe PDF. Specifications will be available in Adobe PDF format and drawings will be available in TIFF format. Offerors wishing to receive electronic notifications of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http:// ideasec.nbc.gov. This service is provided for convenienece only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Plan holders will be required to visit this website periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the contract documents. No other notification will be sent. Title of Project: Keweenaw Quincy Slate Roof Project, Keweenaw National Historical Park, Calumet, Michigan. The work of this contract consists of but is not limited to: removal and replacement of the existing slate roof, removal and replacement of the existing roof sheet metal, flashings, built-in gutter, and downspouts, replacement of unsound or deteriorated roof decking, restoraation of existing front porch, including structure, replacement of porch roof with EPDM roofing, and recconstruction of porch roof balustrade, and fabrication of concrete splash blocks at each downspout location. There will be a base and additives. The solicitation will be issued on or about July 9, 2007, with offers due on or about August 6, 2007 (see solication for time and date bids are due). The solicitation will be issued and award made pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Magnitude of Project: $250,000.00 to $350,000.00.
