Description
The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) is conducting a Market Investigation (MI) to identify non-developmental, commercially available multi-band antenna systems. This notice does not constitute a request for proposal (RFP), but a request for information only. A future synopsis will be published regarding Acquisition strategy. Industry comments and product information are solicited concerning the availability of transit case and/or trailer-mounted configured C, X, Ku, and (military) Ka-band antennas. Antennas must be capable of operation in all bands identified above, but not necessarily simultaneously. The antenna size shall be in the range of 3.5-4.5 meters in diameter. The antenna shall be compliant with the requirements for certification to operate over the Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS) and the Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) constellations. Transit case weights shall be identified and be in compliance with the requirements for two-man lift defined in MIL-STD-1472F, Table XVII. The extent to which the system provides automatic satellite acquisition and automatic tracking and polarization shall be described. Respondents shall also provide transmit/receive gain, antenna noise temperature/figure, antenna beam patterns if available, set-up/tear-down times, and wind loading performance. Additionally, respondents should reply whether complete radio frequency (RF) packages are available to provide complete up and downlink chains that could interface to a modem at intermediate frequencies (IF). Sidelobe performance shall be such that the antenna will be approved for operations over constellations using 1.5 degree orbital slot spacing.
