Description

Badlands National Park, Interior, South Dakota is seeking sources for the following project. Sources capable of performing this work must notify the following individuals as to their capability by Friday July 20, 2007. Contracting Office Address: Mount Rushmore National Memorial, 13000 Hwy 244 Bldg 31, Suite 1, Keystone, SD 57751 POC: Ron Eilefson, Contracting Officer, PH:605-574-3130, Email: ron_eilefson@nps.gov Work Site: Badlands National Park, PO Box 6, Interior, SD 57750 POC: (Technical Questions), Ray Sawdy, PH:605-433-5272, Email: ray_sawdy@nps.gov Description of the Project: It is the Governments intension to issue a competitive Request for Quotation for the following work. 1. Pump a tank of 1100 gallons of propane that will be held or moved to another tank on the park site. 2. Burn off fumes from the Tank. 3. Prepare the tank for cutting and welding by purging with nitrogen. 4. Cut out a 2" section of pipe from the end of the propane tank and replace by installing a new 2" pipe at the end of the tank. 5. Mag particle test or dye penetration test the tank for stability of the weld. Provide test results to the Park. After the weld has been completed the National Park Service will fill the tank. The National Park Service encourages all certified welders in this field to contact either Ron Eilefson at 605-574-3130 or Ray Sawdy at 605-433-5272 to be placed on a bidders list to be considered for this solicitation. We need all interested parties to acknowledge their ability to perform this work by Friday, July 20, 2007 COB.
