- Maintenance / Service agreement for DLT 8000 drives. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR 13.5, as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 297P0750242 and is issued as a request for quotations (RFQ), unless otherwise indicated herein. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 05-17. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has a requirement for renewal of a maintenance / service agreement for DLT 8000 drives located at the USPTO, Boyers, Pennsylvania location. The following equipment is to be covered under the maintenance / service agreement: A. Quantity: 03, Model: AVC8, Unit: AVAX Control Unit w/3 DLT 8000 Drives. B. Quantity: 03, Model: AVX8, Unit: Expansion Unit w/3 DLT 8000 Drives. The period of performance will be: August 15, 2007 through August 14, 2008. The on-site agreement will provide "best effort on parts", labor, and travel. Coverage is Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Response time is next business day. Interested organizations may submit a price quotation, along with their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 5:00 p.m. local time on 08/13/2006. CCR Requirement - Company must be registered on Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before an award could be made to them. If company is not registered in CCR, they may do so by going to CCR web site at http://www.ccr.gov. The following FAR clauses in paragraph (b) of FAR clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, will apply: 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.225-13, 52.232-34. FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial, applies to this acquisition. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
