AMENDMENT A001 IS ISSUED TO CORRECT THE FOLLOWING: 1.0 Background Information -- Second sentence to read as follows: The training will focus on the five following units: Asia, Africa and the Middle East, Europe, Western Hemisphere, and Trade Agreements & Compliance. 3.1 Statement of Work -- The first sentence to read as follows: The Contractor will work one-on-one with MAC Office Directors in all five units (Asia, Africa and the Middle East, Europe, Western Hemisphere, and Trade Agreements & Compliance) to develop custom-tailored writing courses for staff. This will consist of four half-day planning sessions per unit. In addition, the Guide for Planning, Course Deliver, and Follow-up" should change as follows: August/September: Europe October: Asia November: Africa and the Middle East December/January: Western Hemisphere February: Trade Agreement & Compliance The above timeline addresses planning meetings with Office Directors and course delivery for each unit. In addition, each unit will have access to six (6) half-day follow-up sessions for the entire period of performance, date of Award through September 30, 2008. The sessions will be scheduled as needed by the Office Directors and will include up to 15 participants per session. THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format set forth in Federal Acquisitions Regulation, Subpart 12 and 19, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) Number DG1350-07-RQ-0526. This solicitation document incorporated Statement of Work, provisions and clauses. The provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-12. NAICS number is 611430. This is a Small Business Set Aside. Business Size Standard is $6.5 Million. The Government intents on awarding a Firm Fix Price contract with an estimated value of between $75K and $100K. DESCRIPTION: Department of Commerce International Trade Administration, Market Access and Compliance requires custom-tailored training to enhance the quality of communication and writing skills for its International Trade Specialist Staff. The training will focus on the four following regions: Asia, Africa and the Middle East, Europe and the Western Hemisphere. The Government reserves the right to award without discussion; therefore each offeror is encouraged to submit their best terms with their proposal. Special attention is directed to FAR 52.212-1 (b). Failure to submit the required information for evaluation may render the offer non-responsive. Offerors shall include a fully executed copy of the FAR provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with their offer. FAR clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
