Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a Sole Source, Firm Fixed-Price contract modification to the FY-07 to FY-11 engine hardware contract with Rolls Royce, Indianapolis, IN for PBTH support of in-service AE1107C engines, including engines already installed on delivered V-22 aircraft, engines to be installed on delivered V-22 aircraft, engines utilized on V-22 test aircraft, and spare engines. The support shall address all requirements necessary for the Government to support the engine during planned and surge operations. This support shall include servicing; troubleshooting; scheduled and unscheduled maintenance actions; restoration; engine/Weapons Replaceable Assembly (WRA)/Line Replaceable Unit (LRU)/component replacement; and preservation and packaging. The Contractor shall provide all maintenance support at the Organizational Level (O-Level) and above, scheduled and unscheduled. The Contractor shall provide material replenishment at all echelons of maintenance. The Contractor shall provide all logistics and engineering support necessary to meet the planned operational and surge requirements of the AE1107C engine operating in the V-22 weapon system. This is a notice of intent to request a proposal from and negotiate with, Rolls Royce who has been identified as the only responsible source capable of meeting the Government?s requirements for the AE1107C engine.
