- Description
- This amendment is being issued to delete any references related to the requiremnet being a purchase / delivery order along with the FAR referenc FAR 13.106-1. This requirement will result in a contract action. All other information related to this requirement remains unchanged. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award, on a sole source basis, to the University Of Kansas Center For Research Inc, 2385 Irving Hill Rd, Lawrence, KS 66045-7563. The authority for this sole source procurement is FAR 6.302-1. The requirement is to retain the services of the University of Kansas to provide ongoing support maintaining the Community Toolbox online Documentation and Support System (ODSS). The primary tools to be developed under this contract are based upon the Community Tool Box (CTB) and Online Documentation and Support System (CTB-ODSS) which are copyrighted products of the University of Kansas. The University of Kansas is the originator and owner of this system; and is the sole provider of technological support and technical assistance in using the ODSS. The University of Kansas Center for Research Inc was determined to be the only available source capable of providing the services as defined in the Statement of work (SOW), based on the existence of limited rights in data and copyrights IAW FAR 6.302-1. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide this service are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification within 15 days from the publication date of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
