Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas Ci ty District intends to make a sole source award to a small business, Capital Management Group, LLC. 891 Cedar Wood, Carmel, In 46032. Description of supplies/Services: The objective of this contract is to procure a follow-on highly specialized service fr om one source utilizing other than full and open competition to provide for continued contractor support to provide marketing, public affairs, back office and logistical support, website and network support, and to operate, upgrade, and maintain the Army G ame Projects (AGP) computer network and server hosting infrastructure related to the Americas Army (AA) computer game, on behalf of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Manpower and Reserve Affairs (M&RA). Americas Army is a networked computer video game that is one of the U.S. Armys most visible and most effective recruiting programs with over eight million registered users. AA is also used as a training tool and in support of combat operations. This action is critical to the U.S. Armys recruiting efforts for FY07 and FY08. The Army is placing maximum efforts to meet end-strength needs and field its combat units for the Global War on Terrorism. This action is necessary to allow for continuity in operating and maintaining AGPs marketing programs, back office support, and key website, network, and server infrastructure which is essential for the operability of AA and support of the AA community of users until a competed contract can be awarded. . This acquisition is part of a larger multi-year proje ct managed and implemented by the AGP. This project uses AA and both the Armys Virtual Army Experience and Future Soldier Trainers which both feature AA to train soldiers and also attract young people to recruiting stations and Army events in order to inf orm them of various aspects of Army life and Army career opportunities. The governments minimum requirements of what is needed to allow Americas Army to continue to be the Armys flagship recruiting product are listed below. The Contracting Officer ant icipates the award of a sole source small-business set-aside, utilizing firm-fixed price (FFP) contract type. A fixed price contract will be issued on or about August 23, 2007. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice is not a request for comp etitive proposals; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the di scretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. This notice of intent is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ) nor is it a request for competition. No telephone requests will be honored.
