Description

The U.S. Geological Survey, Geology Discipline, National Center, Reston, VA, requires purchase of one(1) each, Energy Dispersive X-Ray and Digital Image Acquisition System, using an existing Si(Li) PGT Prism Detector on a JEOL JSM-840II Scanning Electron Microscope (detailed software and hardware requirements available in the Specifications Document, located in the Clauses Section of Request for Quote 07ERQQ0163, currently displayed at http://ideasec.nbc.gov). The system must also include a workstation, monitor, and printer (specifications: double core CPU with at least 2 GHz clock speed processor or equivalent, 16x DVD +/- RW, 1 GB MB RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive, 128MB USB Drive, Ethernet 100 Mbps interface, Graphics Accelerator, Keyboard, Mouse, Windows XP Operating System, Windows Professional Office Package with MS WORD word processing, MS EXCEL spreadsheet, MS ACCESS database, MS POWER POINT graphics, 110V system, and at least a 17" Flat Panel LCD Monitor: TFT Active Matrix Super VGA Color Monitor, a medium resolution printer to sup[port B&W and color, and at least a 600 x 600 dpi output. Includes multi-voltage power inputs and both serial, USB, and bidirectional parallel inputs). Installation of the Energy Dispersive X-Ray and Digital Image Acquisition System and initial familiarization training (performed, on-site, by a trained service engineer) is also required.
