- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT to Gold Line, Inc., 5500 Tuxedo Road, Tuxedo, Maryland 20781 to continue providing exterior cleaning services and dumping services for the Class C, 49 Passengers Vehicular Fleet belonging to USMC, Marine Barracks, 8th & I located in the heart of Washington, DC. Under authority FAR 6.302 this contract will be issued as a firm fixed price contract for the following period of performance; a base year 1 October 2007 ? 30 September 2008 with four option years: Option Year 1: 1 October 2008 ? 30 September 2009; Option Year 2: 1 October 2009 ? 30 September 2010; Option Year 3: 1 October 2010 ? 30 September 2011; Option Year 4: 1 October 2011 ? 30 September 2012. Exact services performed under current contract provides waste removal services through a gravity pump and restroom sanitation in the restroom facilities aboard the 49 Passenger Coach buses to include chemical additives. The vendor has the waste dumping facility and the materials to safely and efficiently remove the waste from the buses IAW local, state, and federal regulations and requirements. In addition, this vendor provides trained, experienced personnel as well as tools, material, supplies, and equipment necessary to clean the exterior of each bus. These Class C vehicular, 49 passenger buses have special wrapping on the exterior (advertisements) applied to the vehicles and require special handling for cleaning purposes. In order to be considered for this award the contractor must be within a 10 mile radius of the Marine Barracks located at 8th and I Streets, SE Washington, D.C. 20390. This Notice is not a request for proposals or quotations; however, any firm that believes that it can meet the specifications for services and be fully operational by 01 October 2007 may give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Responses received will be evaluated; however a determination by the Government not to compete the requir ement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within th e discretion of the Government. This requirement will be under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures for Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized under FAR 6.3. The anticipated award date is 1 October 2007.
