Solicitation: M67854-07-R-5087 The previous notice posted on 07 August 2007 is hereby amended to read as follows: The United States Marine Corps, Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) intends to procure using ?other than full and open competition? 20 Armored Model 325 Skid Steer Loaders on a Firm Fixed Price basis The Corps Systems Command (MCSC) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract to John Deere Corporation, 1515 5th Avenue, Moline, IL, to fulfill this requirement. The requirement is for twenty armored John Deere Skid Loader, Model 325 to fulfill a current MNF-W Urgent and compelling requirement. The requirement also provides the Skid Loader with attachments and Crew Protection Kits (CPKs) for validation and production, training, technical publications and technical data, and deployment parts blocks. The Armored Skid Loader with CPKs will provide crew survivability and protection in the event of direct and indirect small arms fire. The loader will be a current John Deere commercial model 325 loader. The CPKs will be comprised of substructure and mounting provisions for the arm or supporting the required replaceable opaque and transparent armor pieces. Modifications to the parent vehicle or use of additional equipment as necessary are required in order to meet safety, human factors, and vehicle performance requirements. The effort for the armored skid steer loaders must be completed within 6 months from award of the contract to include all technical data deliverables. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. Section 2304(c) (2) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition regulations (FAR) 6.302-2, ?Unusual and compelling urgency? and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) 206.302-2. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 333120. This announcement is not a request for competitive quotations; however, if you believe that your company can provide the required items, please provide your literature to this office at the following address: MARCORSYSCOM/GTES, 2200 Lester Street, ATTN: Stacey R.
