Description
This announcement constitutes Solicitation number FA4801-07-T-0022, which will be issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract. Per Far 36.204 the Magnitude of the project is estimated to be in the following range: Less than $25,000.00. The solicitation shall incorporate provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC 2005-16).This acquisition is to be 100% set-aside and awarded to a small business concern. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 238330. The size standard is $ 13 million. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Contractor shall refinish the stage floor. The floor is approximately 750 SF in size. The floor shall be sanded and prepared in accordance with the Wood Flooring Manufacturers Association (NOFMA) standards. However, it will not be necessary to apply a wood filler. After the floor has been properly prepared, the Contractor shall apply a 4-coat refinishing system. The system that will be specified for this project is Traffic by BonaKemi USA or Equal.. This system consists of one coat of BonaSeal sealer, and three coats of Traffic finish. The finish shall be satin. All work shall be in accordance with the manufacturer?s instructions. The Contractor shall remove the exposed portion of the ballroom wood floor. This area measures approximately 1,340 SF. The Contractor shall remove the upper layer of wood strip flooring, and the existing tar paper. Once demolition operations are complete, the Contractor shall notify the Project Inspector. The Contractor and the Inspector will inspect the sub floor for warping, rotting, or any other damage. Once the sub floor has been approved and properly prepared, the Contractor shall install 15-lb tar paper. Then, install a new wood strip floor. The new wood strip floor shall be a maple floor, second or better grade, and shall be prefinished. Install the floor in accordance with the manufacturer?s instructions. The strip flooring shall be 3/4" thick x 2?" face width, kiln dried, continuous tongue and groove and of standard lengths. More details are included in the Statement of Work and attachments. PROJECT DETAILS: The solicitation, which will include the site visit date and time, as well as, other attachments will be posted on or about 10 AUG 07 and must be downloaded from FEDBIZOPPS. DO NOT REQUEST VIA E-MAIL OR FAX.IMPORTANT NOTICES: 1) RFQ submission must be in accordance with solicitation. 2) If contractor is not registered in the Central Contractor Registry, they are not eligible for award (Ref, DFARS 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration 3) All amendments, if applicable, must be acknowledged.
