Description

The Government has a need to mitigate the cockpit/cabin heat hazard in the UH-72A. The Government requires the retrofit of approximately 11 fielded UH-72A aircraft with the Ventilation System modification. (Note: the actual number of aircraft that will need to be retrofitted depends on how soon the Contractor can implement a cut-in to the production line for the Ventilation System which is being worked via a separate contract action.) The Ventilation System consists of four pop-out window vents on the cabin door and airflow deflectors for sliding cockpit door windows to improve cockpit and cabin ventilation, sunshades for the pilot/co-pilot, and spoiler kits to include a left door lock mechanism. The Contractor shall provide maintenance and technica l support in the retrofit of the Ventilation System modification for these aircraft at Fort Polk, LA and Fort Irwin CA. The Contractor shall install the Ventilation System retrofit in accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations a nd Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) processes and procedures. The Contractor shall provide a return to service statement certifying the aircraft is fully mission capable (FMC) post retrofit.
