- Description
- Vessel(s) Required: A U.S. Flag RO/RO, LO/LO or combination RO/RO-LO/LO vessel to lift 4,434 square feet of cargo. The cargo includes two (2) MARK V boats, each with a trailer and truck. All three pieces (Boat/Trailer/Truck) are to be loaded as one (1) unit. Vessel is to provide patent chain lashings, binder lashings, and nylon lashings. Mark V boats require fourteen (14) nylon lashings per side, spaced six (6) feet apart. Mark V boats can not be stowed on weather decks. In accordance with the Cargo Preference Act of 1904 and Section IIIA.3 of the Voluntary Intermodal Sealift Agreement (VISA) (see 69 FEDERAL REGISTER 25166-25168, May 5, 2004, or most current reference), preference will be given to U.S. flag vessels and VISA participants. Cargo Description: 4,434 square feet of cargo consisting of two (2) MARK V boats that each includes one (1) trailer and one (1) truck.
