Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Coordinating Center for Infectious Diseases (CCID), National Center for Preparedness, Detection, and Control of Infectious Diseases (NCPDCID), Division of Scientific Resources is seeking to award a sole source commercial contract for one (1) cell viability analyzer. The Government has determined that the Beckman Coulter VI-Cell XR (Extended Range) Complete System, Beckman Coulter Part Numbers 731050 is s the only system available that can satisfy our minimum requirement to obtain a cell viability analyzer that is compatible with our existing equipment. Cell viability analyzer shall have the following performance parameters: Temperature: 10C to 40C (50F to 104F); Viability Range: 0 to 100%; UNSPSC: 41116015; Analysis Time: < 2.5 min; Capacity: Single or 12 position via autoloader; Concentration Range: 5 x 10^4 to 1 x 10^7 cells/mL; Counting Accuracy: 6%; Digitizing Resolution: 1394 x 1040; Operating System: Windows 98, 2000, XP; Overall Analysis Range: Size Range: 2 um - 70 um; Sample Volume: 0.5 mL. Subject to availability of funds, the Government intends to Request quotes on 27 August, with award by 15 September 2007. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide the requirement are encouraged to identify themselves and provide written notification to the Contracting Officer within fifteen (15) days from the date of this synopsis. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
