- The VA Medical Center, Bath, New York is seeking professional architect/engineering firms to provide construction documents, working drawings, specifications and cost estimate, shop drawing review and construction period services as required to replace the electrical power in building's 76 and 41 at the VA Medical Center, Bath, New York. A/E shall survey for asbestos and provide Asbestos Monitoring Services during Construction as needed. Construction documentation must include phasing drawings for Demolition/Asbestos Abatement/New Construction with the 100% Submission Package. In building 76 the project will replace existing emergency generator to increase capacity to accommodate added emergency power needs. Replace/add emergency and normal power electrical panels, wiring and breakers. Main breakers, switches and transfer switches will be replaced/added in the mechanical rooms. Existing breakers panels for normal and emergency power in Bldg. 76 are at capacity. There is no room for additional breakers to be added. The existing emergency generator is reaching the replacement stage and needs to be sized to accommodate increased demands for emergency backup power. In building 41 the project will replace electrical breaker panels, breakers, wiring and devices as required throughout this three floor building. Main panel and switch will be upgraded as required. Existing breakers panels have no capacity for additional breakers. Some of the wiring is old. Building feed system needs to upgraded from the transformer. The following evaluation criteria will be used during the A/E selection process: 1. Specialized experience of the firm to perform the work required. 2. Capability of the firm to perform the work within required time frame. 3. Past Performance. 4. Specific experience and qualifications of the proposed personnel assigned to the project design team. 5. Geographic location of the firms working office in relationship to the renovation site. Firms desiring consideration must have a working office located within 150 miles of the Bath, New York city limits. All interested A/E firms are invited to submit Standard Form 330, Architect Engineer Qualifications and for any consultants, on SF 330 Extra Sections E and F. The estimated construction cost is $1,000,000.00 to $2,000,000.00. for Building 76 and $250,000.00 to $500,000.00 for Building 41. The NAICS code for this procurement is 541330.
