Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting synopses and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by NSWC Crane. This is a multi-service requirement for the 7.62X39MM Blank Ammunition. A minimum quantity of 500,000 rounds (378 cases) of ammunition will be purchased at time of award and a Maximum Quantity (in addition to the minimum quantity) of 7,000,000 rounds (5,303 cases) of ammunition can be purchased over the 5 year life of the contract. This ammunition shall be manufactured In accordance with Government Specifications and drawings. Along with your proposal a 1,500 cartridge product sample of ammunition is required. The specifications and drawings will be included in the solicitation when issued. Military packaging shall be required for these components. A single award of a firm-fixed price, 5-year, IDIQ contract is anticipated. Delivery of the minimum quantity is required within 4 months after contract award, and shall be FOB destination. The anticipated delivery locations are several locations within the continental United States. Inspection and acceptance will be at so urce. A safety survey will be required prior to award of the contract to ensure contractor compliance with the requirements of DFARS 252.223-7002 and 252.223-7003. To be eligible for award, contractors must be properly registered in the Government's Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Offerors may obtain information on CCR registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the internet @ www.ccr.gov. If a change occurs in this requirement, only those offerors that respond to this announcement within the required time frame will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award. The solicitation will be available on or about 05 September 2007 at the following address: http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/synopcom.htm. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed.
