- Description
- The United States Air Force (USAF) is required by law and committed to providing a safe and healthful environment for its employees. In order to accomplish this, Air Force Safety Offices worldwide conducts inspections, investigates mishaps, performs Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and acts upon employee complaints in order to identify hazards on an Air Force installation. When hazards are identified they must be tracked until the hazardous condition is abated. Currently, the Air Force Safety Center (AFSC) does not have automated capability to track identified hazards, in a single common database nor maintain oversight of the Air Force Hazard Abatement Program. The objective of the Hazard Deficiency Reporting Software is to provide safety offices the capability to enter and track hazards from identification to abatement in order to protect Air Force (AF) employees and preserve vital national resources in a common automated environment. This module will also eliminate the need for annual reporting to higher headquarters, provide for analysis of common hazards AF-wide, and the capability to share common data information with other military branches.
