Item 0001, Qty. 1, Part number: 58001100, MicroettePlus AutoSampler, Item 0002, Qty. 1, 60200490, MF-8 AutoPlus Multifill Collector, Item 0003, Qty. 1, 91030063, Rack, Collection, Item 0004, Qty. 1, 58001420, 6-Cell Drive System for MicroettePlus Cell Drive System, Item 0005, Qty. 6, 58001455, Vertical Diffusion Cell ?Standard?, Item 0006, 58001721, Qty. 1, Start-Up Tool kit, Item 0007, 58001805, Qty. 1, Q-Pak IQ/OQ/PQ Validation Guideline for Microette Plus. This equipment is needed to provide a complete automated system for carrying out in virto drug permeation testing of the transfer rate across natural or artificial membranes. Such a system will consist of vertical diffusion cells (Franz cells) and an appropriate sampling system capable of efficient automated operation for time periods of 12-24 hours. Diffusion cells: complete cell assemblies must include receptor chamber, donor chamber and clamp, dosage wafer (300 mg, ?infinite dose?), sampling and media replace ports. There must be an outside jacket for temperature control and helix stirrer. There system must accommodate at least six cells. Sampling System: an appropriate sampling system for simultaneous sampling and collection from at least six cells with automatic media replacement at time of sampling. System must maintain temperature (typically 37 degrees Celsius) of cell receptor solution for all cells and maintain replacement media at the same temperature. System must be capable of automated dilution of samples. This unit was selected because it is the only known instrument offering a fully automated diffusion cell apparatus with the capabilities described above. Since many of the the experimental runs will be 12 hours or longer, an automated system is required. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES. However, sources may submit descriptive literature, fully documenting their capabilities, which will be considered by the agency. A determination to compete this procurement based on response(s) to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
