Description
NAICS Code: 334516 The US Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA), Environmental Science Center, Fort Meade Md intends to award a sole source fixed unit price contract under the authority of FAR Part 12 to Perkin Elmer Corporation, Norwalk, Ct. This acquisition includes all non-expendable parts, materials, equipment, travel and labor necessary to repair the equipment outlined below. This acquisition will be for a one year Base Period and one Option year. This acquisition will provide a service agreement to maintain the following Perkin Elmer equipment: (1) OPTIMA 4300DV ICP plus accessories OPTIMA 4300 - SN 077N0041101, ICP Winlab32, ver2.2 software - SN 077N0041101, AS93 plus Autosampler - SN 1070, Polyscience Chiller - SN G01056; (2) PE ELAN 6100 ICP Mass Spec. plus accessories ELAN 6100 - SN 789906, ELAN 6100, ver 3.3 software - SN 789906, AS91 Flame Autosampler - SN 6397, Peristaltic Pump Assembly - SN N190073; (3) OPTIMA 3300DV ICP plus accessories OPTIMA 3300 - SN 069N9033001, ICP Winlab32, ver2.2 Software - SN069N93033001, AS91 Autosampler - SN 4014, Peristaltic Pump Assembly - SN 9032607; (4) PE SIMAA 6000 AA plus accessories SIMAA 6000 - SN 5228, AA Winlab ver 2.5 Software - SN 5228, A72 Autosampler - SN 1952, Furnace Cooling System - SN 5854 This agreement shall provide technical advice and instructions by telephone within four (4) business hours to answer questions and resolve problems. The contractor shall provide on-site remedial and preventive maintenance services to ensure minimal down time. On site service response for remedial services shall be within a maximum of 48 hours (two business days) of the initial service call placed with the contractor's service representative. Preventive maintenance must be performed within two months of the scheduled time for each instrument. Contractor must maintain or have access to an inventory of replacement parts and tools necessary to properly and efficiently maintain the equipment for the life of the contract. If a part cannot be replaced within 24 hours of the on-site visit, a loaner must be supplied. Contractor shall provide, install, and maintain updates of the data processing software, together with operating manuals (on-line or hard copy) describing and explaining the software and its applications. No Solicitation or Request for Quote (RFQ) is available for this procurement. Nevertheless, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting the EPA requirements described herein may submit a response; which, if received within seven calendar days of the date of this announcement will be considered. Funds currently are not available for this acquisition. Responses to this posting must be in writing.
