Quantity: 28 each New Steel Tricon Dry Freight Container modified in accordance to specification and drawing SB821.0-00328-3 Rev 3 ( Surveillance System Control Node Shelter) and 5 ea ch Spare Environmental Control Units (ECU ) Model ES12. Required delivery is 120 Days After Contract Award (DACA). Inspection/Acceptance should be at Destination with FOB Destination. The anticipated contract type will be firm fixed price and anticipate d award date is 30 Aug 2007. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source, this item is restricted to SEA BOX INC. CAGE Code 0FXA9, 802 Industrial Hwy, East, Riverton, NJ 08077-1910. The Surveillance System Control node Shelter provides a temperature controlled environment in which soldiers/marines operate the camera controls. The shelter also protects the sensitive electronic camera control equipment from premature failure due to dust and excessive heat. The shelter is a Tricon shippin g container with unique modifications designed by Sea Box to meet Government requirements. This proposed action will procure 28 control node shelters and spares, identical to the ones already fielded for the Marine Corps. This will allow standardization and commonality across the Marine Corps theater architecture, saving on spares and increasing operational effectiveness. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the Agency. See number note 22 is revised as follows: The pro posed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requiremen t or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received with fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurem ent.
